Hey, I'm Shondricka!

As an experienced educator, I have provided both one-on-one and whole-group Orton-Gillingham tutoring to students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. I believe in adapting lesson plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each student, which has allowed me to successfully teach a variety of subjects including language arts, math, and social studies.

In my teaching practice, I utilize various teaching methods and tools, including multisensory techniques, to help students understand and retain new information. I believe in collaborating with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement effective learning strategies, and I have assisted students in developing skills and strategies for independent learning and academic success.

My education includes a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Rockhurst University. I have also implemented Orton-Gillingham principles and techniques in lesson planning and instruction, and assessed student progress to provide ongoing support and accommodations as needed. I have also received specialized training in multi-sensory teaching techniques tailored specifically for math education. This expertise allows me to create customized learning experiences that cater to your child’s individual strengths and challenges.
